True to my Gemini nature, there is great duality within my work. At my core, I am a seeker of light and shadow. I am at home on the ocean’s edge, or nestled in the trees and flora of the Pennsylvania mountains.
By nature, I am a solitary person who enjoys wandering on my own, and the feeling of “coming upon” a beautiful view has always excited me. I believe a lot of photographers, especially those who enjoy landscapes, can relate to this almost unexplainable feeling. My camera represents a companion that is always silently by my side, allowing me to capture moments and feelings that I don’t think would be presented to me if I weren’t alone.
This organic process of creation spilled over into the patience-testing world of watercolor. This opened a new creative vein that allowed me to use my hands, and mind, in a completely new way. Painting celestial spaces (which again alludes to my love of solitude) is my interpretation of the mystical night sky above us. No two paintings are ever the same, and this essential piece of creation is an incredible lesson in letting go.

Tina Crespo is a Pennsylvania based photographer and artist. She graduated from Antonelli Institute and began her career in photography as a commercial photographer, focusing on food and packaging projects. As a way to define her creative skill set, Tina began working on personal photography projects that allowed her to travel and photograph landscapes that inspired her. This love of nature and travel, as well as her love for literature, birthed the “Circle Print Series”. This series focused on combining Tina’s imagery and quotes from admired authors in a minimal style. The “Circle Print Series” has become a signature part of Tina’s work.
Her work has been featured in Urban Outfitters, Elle Decor UK, NY’s Mag’s TheCut.com, Apartment Therapy, SFGirlByBay, Creature Comforts, and Philly.com
