Little Things, Big Joy: Montana
To celebrate turning 40 in June, it was a treat to spend time with two of my favorite people in this life in Bozeman, Montana. I still feel that words cannot convey what it felt like to be under that big sky, to stand quietly on top of a literal mountain as the sun finally slipped beyond our reach at 10pm. Everywhere I looked, I saw the sky and clouds and color that Anna Patterson so beautifully translates in her work. What a gift, to have a friend say “Yes! Please come visit.” So, to Bozeman Sarah (Atwater Designs) and I went.
We spent 14 hours(!) in Yellowstone and this is where I took majority of my photos. I believe Sarah and I would say “Wow…” or “Wow!” or “Whooooa, wow.” hundreds of times that day.
“For the betterment and enjoyment of the people.”
Small Things in Bozeman That Gave Me BIG Joy
+ The people in Bozeman are hands down the nicest I’ve met and clearly love where they live.
+ We had some of the most delicious coffee, food and cocktails. Most notable places are Little Star Diner*, Blackbird, Jam!, Wild Crumb, PLONK.
+ The most fun shopping happened at Paper and Grace, Heyday*, Commonform.
+ The views cannot be understated. It’s wild to walk down a street and ahead of you are mountains tipped in snow. I can’t imagine this ever gets old.
* You can see Anna’ landscapes in both Little Star Diner and Heyday!
