In Focus: Moss + Brooke

Spencer and I met at one of the many Philadelphia area maker markets a couple years ago. I immediately loved her warmth, brand aesthetic and overall product messaging: Simplified home, bath and body products with high quality ingredients made right in her Devon, PA home.

Also, Spencer’s packaging was so dang clean and minimal, I’m sure I embarrassed myself a tiny bit swooning over it.

Spencer contacted me because she wanted to improve the look of her individual product photography with a really clean look that created consistency in her imagery and gave off that simplified vibe to her customers.

I was like, “Yes! I’m in.” because minimalism is my jam and I could already begin picturing the lightness and calm we could create with photography.

Spencer wanted light and airy and let me know she was a fan of light greys and whites. We wanted to keep a consistency in the imagery that would work well on her website, as well as, any wholesale line sheet she would want to create in the future.

It’s been two years since I created this mood board and I still love it to pieces. My goal with lighting was to keep it open and light, but crisp. Matching the energy that Spencer has already begun to create with her existing photography and branding colors/message.

The images are simple and minimal - letting the products shine and be the center of attention.

I am obsessed with Spencer’s ability to create really light and pure fragrances. Sea Salt is my favorite and I use it daily. This year I’m also taking the time to really give my skin what it needs, and the Aurum Facial Serum is part of my nightly ritual.
